Pentiment. One of the best literary and gaming works of humanity, the narrative of which is accompanied by ambiguity both in the plot itself and in the decisions you make. The plot takes us to medieval Europe, namely to the Bavarian mountains and shows us the story of one talented independent artist Andreas Malyar, who accepted a large order from the Catholic Church for a book that was generally ordered by one eccentric nobleman through the church. In general, before delving into the plot of the game itself, I would like to draw attention to the meaning of the word “pentiment”. Since, first of all, we are given to understand that the narration will be conducted on behalf of the artist, the name of the game is taken from the Italian word “pentimento”, which in turn means an adjustment to the artistic concept, it can be small, but it greatly influences the meaning of the picture itself, the meaning of its plot as a whole. However, in the Catholic Church the meaning of the word “Pentiment” takes on the meaning of “repentance” or “deep regret”. What does the scene tell us about when Andres’ painting is criticized by his very old colleague – the same artist, but who treats Andres more like a young student or even a grandson. As the story progresses, we realize that we find ourselves in a web of murders and intrigues, from which we have to pull our old colleague out and try to unravel it ourselves, taking on the role of a detective investigator. And this will be the plot itself, in which we have quite a few smooth turns, solving mysteries, accepting ourselves as a person, and thus we will make small adjustments that will change the meaning of the picture of our life and the people who find themselves in it.

Well, my goal was not to make a cumbersome text about all aspects of the game and its creators. I just wanted to briefly convey the essence of the game through its cover.
