Hard drive problem.

The essence
Yesterday I turned off my computer. Everything was ok.
Today I turn it on – 1 peak and black screen. T.e. BIOS beeps like everything is ok, but the monitor does not respond.
In the end I realized what the problem was: the 2nd hard drive (which is non-Windows). (SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200.12 1TB)
After I removed it, the computer (fortunately or unfortunately) started.
What’s the problem? I can’t take it apart because I don’t have a hexagonal screwdriver =\

If you don’t know, tell me a good “iron” forum.

Well then, okay, I convinced you 🙂

I had this experience with a video card. I banged my head against the wall for a long time until I realized that the number next to the bolt socket indicates the number of turns of the screwdriver.

I think there may be a https://3dicecasino.co.uk/bonus/ problem with the zener diode.

But for lack of a hexagon screwdriver I can’t look.

And it’s not necessary to disassemble, but it’s absolutely impossible. It is impossible to create a sterile room at home, and 2-3 specks of dust will scratch the disks in half a year.

Error sound signals provided by the BIOS through the built-in speaker are actually standard. If there are any that are different from it, then these are rather exceptions.

I can also advise you to remove the disk with Windows and leave the non-working one. If it boots, it means there is a bootloader conflict..

You can also try to reset the BIOS. This is done very simply… take a screwdriver… Take out the battery on the motherboard (looks like a tablet) and use a screwdriver to close the contacts in place of the battery. If your hands are not crooked, then the BIOS will reset to zero and return to its original state… it may help. Just before starting you need to put the battery back 🙂

Yes, this is not the worst thing… Usually, if you disassemble and then reassemble a disk with several plates, they will stop spinning due to the fact that the bolts are tightened a little tighter..

It’s for the better. You can’t sort it out, yeah.

You can only twist the board, clean it from dust, check the cables and contacts. This has nothing to do with pancakes and will not harm them in any way.

On the fact that it has 1 short – pc is working, on AST there is no signal about service, on Phoenix too. So not at all.
